The Mirror of Mind

The Mirror Within

There lies a mirror deep inside—
mind, soul, and flesh all unified.
The light of presence, always near,
shines constant, still, and crystal clear.
Yet what we see is not that light,
but how we meet it—dark or bright.

Like sunlight on the world we see,
it touches all things equally.
Some rays are lost, absorbed as hue—
as moods or roles we claim as true.
Yet some reflect, still pure and whole,
unchanged, returned from depth of soul.

When polished well, the mirror gleams—
its image sharp, devoid of schemes.
But fear and want, desire and pride
can blur the truth we hold inside.
And what we show to those we meet
is shaped by how we stand the heat.

So practice this: reflect, not cling.
Let light move through on weightless wing.
Let contact rise, then gently go,
like wind or water’s quiet flow.
See as it is. Don’t twist or fight.
Respond with care. Be still. Be light.

We are not flawless in this art.
The world still colors mind and heart.
But we can clean, and smooth, and shine
through truth, through grace, through acts benign.
And when the presence meets our face,
it may reflect a deeper grace.

Not static noise, but something true—
a peace that others journey through.
