When I saw the long rows of books stacked on six foot high shelves on both sides I knew I was back in Alladin’s closet.
As I turned my head I saw that I was standing on a pedestal in the center of pie shaped library with the stacks radiating outward resembling the spokes on a wheel but in all directions like a sphere. Then in flashing lights I saw my name “MICHAEL” floating above one of the columns. I started down that row and saw not book titles but my thoughts. One thought for each book. They were divided into two categories. On the left side were the thoughts of all the things I wanted to happen. And on the right side were all the things I did not want to happen.
Off in the distance I saw a throne that again had my name “MICHAEL” floating above it. As I started to walk toward the throne from each side the thoughts tried to attract my attention. Suddenly I understood that I was inside my mind. I was actually seeing as an observer the workings of my thoughts along with a voice telling me to get more of what I want or to push away more of what I do not want. And then a smaller softer voice whispering to just walk by letting all the thoughts just be there and proceed toward the throne.
As I continued to walk I noticed the floor resembled a checkerboard covered with black and white squares. I was inside a game of checkers trying not to get jumped by the thoughts of attraction or jumped by the thoughts of repulsion. Gradually pulled along by spiritual gravity I made it to the other side and sat on the throne. I became a King able to roam freely in all directions among the thoughts of my mind.
I was free. The thoughts of wanting or not wanting floated by like clouds in the sky.
I was undisturbed, unattached and free.
